Preliminary statistics released by Eurostat on April 30 show thattabletopvideopokermachineEurozone inflation in April was at an annualized rate of 2.tabletopvideopokermachine.4%, unchanged from March.

Data showed that Eurozone service prices rose by 3.7% year-on-year in April, food, tobacco and alcohol prices rose by 2.8%, non-energy industrial product prices rose by 0.9%, and energy prices fell by 0.6%. That month, core inflation, excluding energy, food, tobacco and alcohol prices, was 2.7%.

From a country perspective, the inflation rates in the major EU economies of Germany, France, Italy and Spain in April were 2.4%, 2.4%, 1% and 3.4% respectively.

Analysts pointed out that the current inflation level in the euro zone is in line with expectations, but inflation stickiness remains high.

The European Central Bank held a monetary policy meeting on April 11 and decided to keep the three key interest rates unchanged while sending a signal to relax monetary policy.
